Fewer, better devices
A short list of well-placed sensors beats a house full of gadgets nobody opens. We add a camera only when a specific path needs it.
Home / About Us
Aegiswell plans protection around the paths people actually use, then stays close enough to retune the system when the house changes.
Most of the homes we meet already own a camera or a sensor that chirps for the wrong reason. A hallway beam watches the dog. A doorbell films the street and misses the person at the gate. A lock code has been shared so many times that nobody knows who still has it. Aegiswell began as the practice of putting those pieces back into a plan a household could explain out loud.
We still do that work. A visit starts with a walk, not a catalog. We ask which door gets the groceries, which window is left open on warm nights, whether anyone works late, and which room should never be on camera. The equipment follows those answers. If a device would only add noise, it stays in the van.
Twelve years of return visits taught us that the second month matters more than install day. That is why every plan includes a care rhythm: labels, a plain-language code list, and a person you can email when a sensor starts to complain.
A short list of well-placed sensors beats a house full of gadgets nobody opens. We add a camera only when a specific path needs it.
Bedrooms, baths, and a neighbor’s windows are out of bounds. Clips stay with the household unless you choose to share one.
Quotes, app walkthroughs, and care notes are written so the person who was not at the install can still use the system.
Seasonal checks, replacement devices, and email replies are part of the plan. A system that drifts is not finished.
Four steps, each with a written result you can keep. Nothing is mounted until the map is agreed.
You describe entries, pets, guests, and the hours the house is empty. We reply by email with the questions a floor plan cannot answer.
We mark cameras, contacts, and locks on a simple sketch, including the rooms we will leave alone and why.
Devices are labeled, cables are findable, and two people in the household practice arming, quiet hours, and a guest code.
We tune the alerts you flag as noisy, then settle into the care rhythm that matches your plan.
Aegiswell does not claim that a sensor package can prevent every loss or identify every person who passes a lens. Cameras miss angles. Networks drop. People forget to arm the system. Our job is to make the useful alerts more likely and the useless ones rare, and to be reachable by email when something needs a human.
Monitoring, when you choose it, is a response desk that follows the instructions you set. It is not a promise of a particular arrival time, and it is not a substitute for emergency services. We say that in the quote, on install day, and in the terms, because a calm system starts with an honest one.
